Simon was an invaluable help ahead of my debut with the London Symphony Orchestra. He helped me prepare Wo bist du Licht? by Claude Vivier over Zoom—giving me insight into the composer’s style and musical language and breaking down the pitch & rhythmic complexities of the piece in an accessible way. When I turned up for my first rehearsal, I felt completely prepared!
